Hi there! My name is Karina Matus, and I’m excited to be part of this course and share a little about who I am.
I was born and raised in Oaxaca, Mexico, but right now I’m studying in the United States. I’m currently working toward degrees in Digital Marketing and Business Administration. I’ve always loved the mix of creativity and strategy—whether that’s designing a campaign, analyzing data, or thinking of new ways to connect people with ideas and products that make their lives better.
Beyond school, I’m an entrepreneur at heart. I’m involved in my family’s business, Beisbolmania, which sells baseball equipment and apparel throughout Mexico. This project has taught me so much about leadership, customer relationships, and the power of building a brand that really connects with its audience.
When I’m not studying or working, you’ll probably find me enjoying the things I love most:
⚾ Cheering on baseball teams and learning more about the sport.
🐴 Spending time with horses—I find riding to be a peaceful and motivating experience.
🎂 Baking desserts (tres leches cake is my specialty!).
🐶 Hanging out with my puppy, Sulky, who keeps life full of joy and chaos.
One of my long-term goals is to pursue a master’s degree in Applied AI or Business, combining my interest in technology with my passion for strategy. I want to help businesses grow, innovate, and create meaningful experiences for their customers.
I’m grateful for every opportunity to learn, and I believe in staying curious, resilient, and positive. Life isn’t always easy, but with faith, family, and determination, I know I’m building something worth sharing.
