I can truly see God’s grace in my life through the gift of my brother. Since the day I was born, he has been there — not just as a sibling, but as a protector, a supporter, and a constant presence of love. I came into this world because my brother, as a little boy, asked my parents for a sister to take care of. And from that moment on, he never left my side.
When I cried as a baby, he would run to comfort me. As we grew, he became the one who always believed in me — who made sure that money or circumstances would never be a reason for me not to chase my dreams. He worked hard not just for himself, but to make sure I could have every opportunity too.
This Saturday, May 31st, he is getting married in South Jordan. Honestly, it feels strange and emotional. I am deeply grateful to my Heavenly Father for sending me a brother with whom I’ve shared incredible memories across the world, for every chapter we’ve written together, every stage of life we’ve faced side by side.
But more than anything, I feel at peace — because I know this is a new chapter, one that will bring out the best in him. I’m so proud to see him standing firm for what he wants and who he chooses to become.
As C.S. Lewis once said,
“There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.”
And I believe that with all my heart — for him, and for us as siblings walking into a new season of life.
